Onboarding with Ori

Once you've claimed a plan, Ori introduces itself and starts asking questions: what you do, who buys it, what you want the site to achieve. It's a conversation you can pick up and put down whenever suits, and everything you tell it feeds the strategy.

Research

While you talk to Ori, we dig into your market: who your competitors are and what they claim, where you sit against them, who your audience really is, and the tone of voice that fits how you talk. The findings go into the document with the sources attached.

The strategy document

Everything from the conversation and the research lands in a brand strategy document: positioning, audience, message and sitemap, with the reasoning behind each choice. You sign it off before we build anything, and you keep the document whatever you decide. We've published our own, so you can see exactly what you'd be getting.

The build

The build averages two weeks from signed-off strategy to live, audited over and over against the five-pillar framework until it scores 90+. The marking scheme is published, so you can check the score for yourself, and if launch can't wait there's a queue-buster option that moves you to the front of the schedule.

From there the site is managed: hosting, monitoring and backups are handled, and when something needs changing you message us on WhatsApp, or Ori in your account, and it's live within days, checked by a person who knows your business. A few things founding members ask.

What is a founding member, and why is the price lower?

You ran the Diagnostic and saw exactly where your site stands, so you already understand the problem we solve. Founding members are the first businesses to come on board at this price, and in return for being early the founding rate is locked for the life of your plan — it doesn’t step up to the public price later. There’s no upfront fee and you can still cancel any month.

Is the founding price really locked, or does it go up after a few months?

It’s locked. As long as your plan stays active you keep the founding rate, even as the public price rises. If you cancel and come back later, you’d re-join at whatever the price is then, which is the only way to lose it.

I took the audit a while ago. Is my score still relevant?

The 5 Pillars don’t move much month to month, so your score is still a fair picture of where the site sits. If anything has changed, the strategy phase re-checks everything before we build, so you’re never working from stale findings. If you’d like a fresh score first, run the Diagnostic again — it’s free.

Is £56.40 a month really the whole cost? What’s the catch?

That’s the whole cost for Launch & Maintain at the founding rate, including VAT, with nothing upfront and no surprise invoice in month three. The catch, if you want to call it one, is that it’s a subscription covering the build, the hosting and the monthly upkeep. It stays this cheap because AI handles what used to take another five of us.

What happens if I cancel?

Foundations is a service rather than a product: you’re paying us to build, host, manage and keep the site healthy every month. If you cancel, you give notice, finish the month you’ve paid for, and the managed site comes down the following month, with neither a penalty nor an exit fee.

Who owns the domain and the content?

The domain is yours, full stop, and we will under no circumstances control it: when the site is ready to launch we’ll send you instructions for connecting your domain and help out if you need it. You should never let a website agency control your domain. The content is different, because it’s part of the managed service: if you cancel, the site and its content come down, unless you buy the site out at a price based on how long you’ve been with us.

How long does a build take?

A build takes days rather than months: we lock a strategy document with you first, then design and build, and you’re usually live inside a week.

How do I make changes once it’s live? Do I have to log into anything?

You message your strategist, on WhatsApp, Slack, Discord or through Ori in your account, and the change is live within days, which is the entire mechanic. Your account holds billing, your documents and Ori, and none of it is something to learn.
